Tips For Successful Searching

The key to successful searching is to keep searches specific and concise. Following the guidelines below will also help.

1. Model
When searching for models, ensure that spaces are omitted. For example,
to search for SM87 HXB enter SM87HXB. Note that this search finds partial model names, eg SM87 will find all products with these characters in the title.

2. Keywords
The keywords search is more flexible than a model search. You can search for:-

a) Certifications/Approvals & Listing
When searching for approvals such as GOST K or Div 2 remove the spaces
to get a specific result i.e. GOSTK or Div2.

b) Generic Product Type
You can append product type to your search, e.g. Div2 Strobe, ensure that you place a space between the certification and generic product type.

c) Product Feature
If you need to find a product with a specific feature e.g. Joule rating on
a beacon/strobe or an IP rating simply specify it but remember to remove spaces in the feature but keep spaces between the feature and other search criteria (e.g. NEMA4x Call Point)

Ranking of Results

Results are ranked according to a scoring system with the score in parentheses next to the result. The more relevant the search the higher
the score.
